Recently, a Davis & Towle employee ended up needing medical attention as a result of a fall he had on ice while opening his car door. His initial inclination as he headed to the walk-in clinic was to whip out his health insurance card. However, after speaking with Marlene, our claims representative, he realized he was covered for up to $5,000 of medical expenses on his Auto insurance because of his Medical Payments coverage. Now he's not dipping into his limited Healthcare Savings Account (he has a high-deductible health insurance policy) and his medical bills will be paid.
Medical payments cover medical bills in an accident regardless of who's at fault. |
